How trading compounding works

Each included trading day begins with the previous day’s ending capital. The calculator determines the leveraged position, gross profit, brokerage and GST, then adds the reinvested part of net profit to the next day’s capital.

Why leverage and charges matter

In this model, leverage increases the position used to calculate brokerage. Gross profit is calculated from trading capital using the daily return entered. Real trading can include losses, slippage and other taxes that this illustration may not capture.

Use the calculator for trading or investing

Trading mode compounds net daily results and can include leverage, percentage or flat brokerage, GST, reinvestment and scheduled withdrawals. Standard interest mode uses principal, rate, term and compounding frequency. Contribution mode adds regular deposits, while daily compound mode focuses on a daily rate and number of days.

Why a daily trading projection grows quickly

Repeating the same positive return every trading day creates exponential growth. Real traders experience losing days, changing position sizes, slippage, taxes and periods without trades. Treat the table as a transparent scenario for testing assumptions, not an expected account curve.

Frequently asked questions

Does the trading mode include losing days?

Enter a negative daily return to model a repeated loss. A fixed positive return every day is an optimistic mathematical scenario and not a forecast.

Can I schedule withdrawals?

Yes. Trading mode supports daily or selected-weekday withdrawals and recalculates later days from the remaining capital.

Are all Indian trading taxes included?

No. The trading mode models the selected brokerage and GST. Use the brokerage comparison for a broader estimate of statutory and exchange charges.
